For a friend's wedding she had picked out these pretty Vera Wang dresses for us, but they were maid for 6'5" women with a EEE chest. Bloomingdales wanted around $300 for alterations (outrageous!). A good local tailor took the whole dress apart for $55. My other friend went to her and ha multiple fittings and the dress STILL only cost $55 to alter.

it was 55 for my bridesmaids. They have a strapless duchess satin dress and had the dress taken in and shortened for 55

How much were alterations on your bridesmaid's dresses? What was done for that price?
I am trying to determine whether the quote I received for the bridesmaid dresses alterations are reasonable or not.
