So I recently purchased a bridesmaid dress as a wedding dress (didnt know it at the time till I got home and looked it up). After the intial shock of the wore off I was fine; however, now I am thinking that it isnt as “bridal” as I want. So what do I do? I go shopping and fall in love with another dress. Now, I am re-thinking my decision and dont know what to do! This is the dress that I orginally picked with crinoline added underneath to add volume (btw it needs to be hemmed probably a goot 6 inches which I was thinking of leaving the back the way it is to be a small train). Does this look “bridal” enough? The other dress has the same style top but the ruching goes further down and the skirt has some pickups and a small train.

Looks bridal to me! Ignore the label: you loved and you chose it.

could you imagine what sort of gown you would need to upstage it as a bridesmaid dress???

I can’t believe this is a bridesmaid dress. If it comes it white it has to be because they expect people to use it as a wedding dress.

@peacock88: Uhhh that’s supposed to be a bridesmaids dress? Hmm looks bridal to me!

Who would put there bridesmaids in this? It is very bridal IMO. Nobody will ever know it’s a BMs dress 🙂

It looks more like a wedding dress than a bridesmaid’s dress, and not just because of the color. You made a great choice. It’s bridal.

That’s a bridesmaids dress? Really? If anyone showed up dressed like that on my wedding day I’d send them packing! lol
You look lovely and I really like what you plan to do with the train. If the dress came with the “bridesmaids dress” pricetag instead of the “wedding dress” pricetag too, pat yourself on the shoulder and think of all the amazing wedding things you’ll buy with the money you saved:)

OP – Looks gorgeous & very bridal.
My dress is actually a bridesmaid dress & getting it altered to jazz it up a bit (helps that I wanted a non-white dress). But my dress is very plain compared to that – yours is very bridal

That looks way more bridal than bridesmaid! It’s beautiful! Definitely leave the back as is so you have a train! 🙂
