I’m trying to figure out if I want to go with yellow or champagne for bridesmaids and I need to decide by next week!! I have 9 bridesmaids and pretty much all but one or two are tan. I’m going to let them choose different style tops in the long chiffon Amsale dresses, but they will be long. I love the champagne, but am nervous about how close it is too white and it looking bland. On the other hand, I think it looks classy and will look good years from now when I look back at wedding photos. With yellow, I’ve always wanted to do yellow but my wedding is 9/22/12 and the first day of fall… I’m wondering if a chiffon yellow dress would be too summery. Thoughts? I don’t have pictures of the actual dresses, but posted some similar ones of what I’m thinking. What looks better…yellow or champagne? Also, I’m wondering if yellow looks better short than long….

@AngBob: I think they are both beautiful!! I think if you went with the darker yellow (like a goldenrod) it wouldn’t look too summery. I really do love the champagne, though!!
I agree, yellow looks better short than long 100%. It would be hard for someone with my fair fair skin to pull off a floor-length yellow dress.
You are so sweet for considering your bridesmaids like this!!
Best of luck <3

Well if your wedding is in September, I’d lean towards the champagne dresses. Yellow is beautiful but it makes me think of Spring and Summer weddings. I personally love the look of long dresses, especially for a Fall wedding. But I’d say long or short should be decided by the tone of your wedding, is it more formal or only semi-formal or casual?

@Luv2BeachIt: My wedding is more on the formal side and I have decided to go with long champagne dresses in different styles 🙂
Any ideas on how to do the different style look with 9 bridesmaids!
