Only ok if your bridesmaids like them. Ask them what they think about them. : (24 votes)

I think the combination is really cool!  I like the black lace together with the color you’ve chosen.  I’d check with your girls though to make sure they can afford $150-200 dresses.  If you guys are in college or just finishing college (which I’m guessing based on your prom statement) it might be hard for them to swing that?  Just something to think about.  ๐Ÿ™‚

Looks great to me. Unlike the vast majority of BM dresses, I’d actually consider doing the whole “you can shorten it and wear it again!” thing.

@asscherlover:  Hmm that is a good question.  ๐Ÿ™‚  The only time I’ve ever had to pay more than $100 for a BM dress was my cousin’s wedding and she did cover part of my dress.  I was a sophomore in college at the time and she knew I had no money.  I guess it depends on what your girls can afford/what they’d be willing to pay.  I certainly don’t want to suggest that you spend the money (let’s face it, you have enough to pay for…) when they might be perfectly okay paying for the dresses.  I just know as a bridesmaid in college, or recently out of college who is struggling to find a job and paying for my own place and planning a wedding, etc. that sometimes it can be hard to pay for a dress.  Although, if that is all that they have to pay for, then I don’t think it would be so bad.  I just flew half way across the country for a wedding and although the dress was only $70, the shoes she picked were almost $50 and there was no way around spending two nights in a hotel which was $60 even with four people sharing the room and I paid for my hair… the dress wasn’t so bad but everything else added up.

@asscherlover:  That’s very considerate of you to try to keep the other things from mounting up!  ๐Ÿ™‚   I wouldn’t feel bad about them planning a shower or bach party.  They will come up with something that works within their budget and I’m sure it will be amazing for you.  For the wedding I was telling you about, I was sooo bummed about not being able to make it to any of those things because I was so far away.  Anything that they do for those events, is in a sense out of your control and they will do it because they love you.  ๐Ÿ™‚
