Can you find a picture that shows the shade of taupe y’all liked? There’s so many different versions of “taupe”. I’m having a hard time seeing why yellow doesn’t look good without seeing the exact color.

itsmandybe:   Taupe is called a neutral for a reason. It goes with everything. There are undertones that sometimes have to be considered. There is a bit of a pink in yours.

The yellow roses in the centerpieces and your bouquet will look fine with the taupe dress. Neither will be right next to the fabric of the dresses.

Bluebonnets will look fabulous.

What were you thinking of using for the bridesmaid bouquets?

itsmandybe:  From what I can tell, it looks fine together.   I wouldn’t sweat it.  Do what you want.  If you are really worried about it, what about adding a brown in with the yellow, taupe and blue?  Oh, agree with Jules1949, blue bonnet will look lovely with everything also!

Honestly, I think the yellow and the blue looks just fine with the taupe color. If that was your original vision, I’d stick with it. However, if you just can’t get past it I’d use white roses for the bouquets. White flowers tend to lean more cream/ivory as opposed to stark white anyways.

Taupe is a wonder color. Everything looks good with it. I would probably do larger amounts of blue than yellow, because the contrast between the taupe and the blue would be lovely.

I think a bluebonnet bouquet will look lovely against the taupe. You can also include yellow if you like.

Bluebonnets + change yellow flowers to Yellow Roses = Texan Bouquet

itsmandybe:  I agree w/PPs that the bluebonnets will be fine. And a yellow rose doesn’t have to be bright yellow. Maybe creamier yellow, or mustardish but lighter (dijon?) would look nice and still say Texas.

I personally think taupe, blue, and yellow is a really pretty combination. Don’t stress! Your girls will look beautiful.
