I am getting down to the wire for choosing my bridesmaid dresses. I would like to stay under 200.00 The color my girls will wear will be Navy Blue. I can't seem to find a dress. Here are some of my veto'd choices. Really only one girl has an issue with the dresses. Its one of my MOH (I have two). She is curvy and has a large chest. Her concen is that a dress that is not fitted to her will not look good on her and a strapless one will not stay up. I want everyone to be happy! However, my 6 girls range from 5'3-5'8 size 4-16. I want everyone to wear the same dress. Any ideas or advice will be greatly appreciated! Please attach pictures of your bridesmaid dresses.

    Thanks in advance!

Here are the ones I have proposed:

    1) Bill Levkoff #370

    2)After Six #6553

    3) B2 #1082

    4) Jcrew Lorelei

    5) Jcrew Lydia

Here are dresses I have not tried on or even suggested to my girls yet. Give me your thoughts...

    6) James Clifford BH2834

    7) James Clifford BH2900

Well, dress #6 looks like one that your MOH should be happy with - it's not strapless! I know you say you want them all to wear the same dress, but have you thought about having the 2 MOHs wear a different dress? Then they could stand out a little bit, and your friend could help pick a dress that she would be happy with.

I really love #6 but do you think it is just too much? I think it would look sharp next to the groomsmen with black and navy blue.

I don't think it's too much at all! I think it would look great!

Must they all have the exact same dress? Why not choose a color and fabric from 1 designer and have them each pick a dress that would fit them best.. they would still match - just not totally.. then everyone would be happy.

That is a great idea and honestly that is another option I have been debating!!

I'd suggest letting them choose from JCrew, that way everyone can get a dress that fits their size/shape the best.

I'm size 10-12 and a little busty myself, so I can understand the concern about strapless - but I LOVE #6...

If you could, I would stay away from crumb catcher BM dresses...I've tried on a few (my sister let us find our own dresses from a line, and there were 2 crumb catchers) and they looked, well, like I'd only left crumbs after eating an entire cake.

What line did you choose dresses from? I am seriously thinking about letting everyone pick.

When I was looking at Bm dresses, most of the strapless dresses had an option to add straps.  Maybe you could do that.

#6 is cute.  Make sure they are ok with taffeta (I won't go near the stuff).

Not sure what all the criteria the dress needs to meet besides being tea length and having straps, but I thought style #7063 from Alfred Angelo was cute.

My bridesmaids are various sizes as well, so I picked out a brand (J Crew) and a color, and told them that they could purchase any dress in that color/fabric...whichever they are most comfortable in. I have one in a strapless, 1 in a thinner strapped dress, and 2 in a thicker tank dress. It won't be uniform in style, but they will all be in the same color, so it will be coordinated nonetheless!

So I am currently a BM in my friends wedding.  There are 8 girls and we range from sizes 0 to 14.  And let me just say that you are awesome to ask for your girls' input and actually consider their preference.  With my friend there was never a discussion of what people were comfortable in or what they prefered.  She pretty much picked out a dress that looked good on her, (and no one else because she has a body completely different from the rest of us), and told us, "this is the dress you'll be wearing".  Yeah.  SOOO considerate.  She didn't even ask any of us to go shopping to try them on.

Anyways, back to your situation.  Not sure what your requirements are besides being navy but here are some that I think are cute:

Oh also, I too have a large chest but I definitely think there are strapless styles, in certain fabrics that can work really well, (with the right bra).
