Ok, over the past couple weekends i have searched and seached and SEARCHED for bridesmaid dresses, drug my poor maids to different stores and had them try dresses on, but i haven’t seen anything that i like! I want all of my ladies to look lovely, and would like their dresses to be something that they might consider wearing again and have not found anything that meets those criteria and looks good on them.
Our wedding is a vintage/garden theme, and i think that haveing them in a print would be ok. I kind of want them all to match in some way, mostly because my FI choose a best LADY instead of man and i want to make sure that the BM and his Best Lady all definitly look like they are on the right side, lol.
The biggest problem is that 4 out of 5 of my ladies are ‘plus sized’ and the 5 one is a size 6! 2 of the BM’s have a VERY large chest area, which means that strapless will be difficult, though i have considered having them wear a cute cardigan paired with the dress.
I thought about finding something cute from someplace like sears or kohls, but the dress would have to be in plus sized and regular size, or at least have the same feel. I REALLY like these looks, and would like there to hopefully be flowers somewhere in the dress (even if it is something thta we add later)

I just bought my BM dresses yesterday and I’m the same, ALL my maids are full busted so I ixnayed the strapless. Our theme is vintage as well and I love this dress and so does all my maids. I’m having a maid who will be 7-8 mos prego on our wedding day and this material is very forgiving. I’m not sure what your budget is but this dress is from DB White by Vera Wang and its $178. I bought my dress there so they all get a discount for their dresses. Heres a picture of one of my BM. Good Luck!

That is a REALLY pretty dress! I am purchasing my dress from Alfred Angelo, and when we went there they had little to nothing in plus sizes for my girls to try on 🙁 I will email them this dress and see what they think!

Have you checked Etsy? There are quite a few sellers there who will make made-to-measure dresses in your choice of fabric patterns and fabrics. of course the downsize is you can’t try them on first, but if you do a trip to the mall for the ladies to give you a sense of what styles work best on them, you could have your etsy seller suggest similar patterns from their selections and either have different dresses but in the same pattern, or in coordinated-but-not-identical patterns, made to each girl’s size.
You can get the same concept from a bunch of different dressmaking sites (usually the designer knock-off sites, often based in China) but their selections tend to be more traditional and less vintage.

Love these suggestions, but I really want something they can try on to make sure it fits their bodies and their chests (one bridesmaid is a size ‘g’ !)
