I think the dresses are cute, and not too short, however, your dress is much more formal than theirs which is ok, but next to you they may look way casual like party dresses. The longer bridesmaid dress may help though.

At first I wasn’t that fond of the pic you were showing of the BM dresses, but when I saw that yours is sparkly too I think it will look adorable.

@lovelypinky40:  Well, there’s a lot of reasons to go short or long. Personally I don’t think BM dresses need to match the bride’s dress, it’s best to just complement it. The majority of brides out there wear long wedding dresses, but there are plenty of short BM dresses out there. Here’s a pic of my BMs and I, to give you an idea:

Short bridesmaid dresses are almost always cheaper. They can be easier to find than long dresses, and they are much more comfortable for warm-weather weddings. Bridesmaids may be more likely to re-wear short dresses.

Long dresses are gorgeous too, just tend to be pricier and may be uncomfortable for an outdoor wedding if it’s hot outside. You should talk to your girls and find out what their general budget is before settling on a dress. And maybe ask them what they prefer to wear, long or short! It’s definitely worth checking in with them, they might have some insight

I haven’t voted as I can’t make up my mind between long and short.  I like the two tone style and the short ones certainly aren’t too short.  I guess the question is how formal you want the BMs to look, the long dresses are much more formal than the short ones.  In general I like the idea and think either could work.

I am a girl who loves some sparkle and bling, but I think that particular style looks a little… young/cheap.
