@climbergirl:  The Ann Taylor Jersey dresses are $150 ish regular price, right?  AT runs extremely frequent 40% off – 50% off sales on their entire online store, and you can sign up for a credit card to get an extra 15% off (I offered to open a card so that my BMs could use the discount).  We got the silk chiffon dresses (regularly $265) for half price and they fit really well without alterations.

David’s Bridal has a few jersey options as does JCrew. JCrew goes on sale quite often as well!

You could also look at places like Macy’s or Nordstrom! Maybe even Etsy?

@climbergirl:  Sign up on their mailing list!  I’d say they are 40% off 2 weeks out of the month, and there’s at least 1 50% off sale every month.

I second others that AT and JCrew both have Jersey options that go on sale fairly often. Also, my BMs had disparate budgets, and the richer ones really wanted something of good quality they could wear again. So I ended up splitting the cost with two BMs. It was either have everyone pay $150 for a dress no one would rewear, or I chip in the same for a couple of them so that everyone could get nice dresses they really liked. It ended up being less “wasted” money to get the more expensive dresses, and I could afford to do it. With some bridesmaids being bankers, and others students, there isn’t an issue of this being unfair with my particular crew. So if you can afford to chip in (especially while dresses are on sale) this could be an option.
