My sister is very conservative, and she has requested that her maid of honor dress be relatively modest which means knee length or longer, not low cut, and short sleeves. I have had a very difficult time finding anything and I am running out of time as my wedding is in February. Does anyone have any suggestions? I was hoping for an a-line style dress in a chiffon fabric, but at this point, I am open to anything.

@kjl1234: What about something like this:
You could add a cardigan for her if the sleves are too short, or she could wear a camisole underneath if the front is too low cut.

Im having a similar problem though my bridesmaids arent worried about being conservative but my sister (who is mentally challanged) was put on medication a few years ago that made her gain a ton of weight! no one in my family is large and she is about a size 22. It was just not an option for me not to include her in my wedding so i decided that other bridemaids aside i have to find something that will look good on her and that means no strapless! and preferably something longer. in my mind i alwasy imagined short strapless dresses for my bridesmaids but as a fellow Feb bride i think long is the way to go. i FINALLY decided on after a long and hard search..here is what i ended up with and im really happy about it..i think it will compliment my dress well. obvisouly i will not order these in white, they will be black

I would pick a dress you like, and get your sister a bolero to wear with it 🙂 Problem solved!

I agree with the jacket route that OttawaBride2011 suggested. I have a modest bridesmaid too and I’m doing exactly that.
