So today I went with my girls to choose the bridesmaids dresses. It was such a stress free process, we went and they agreed on a dress and it looked great! It’s Bill Levkoff style 791. The consultant gave me the fabric swatches to choose a color, and I found the exact color I was looking for: a royal purple color, this one called “Regency”. THe girls made the dress deposit and we left happy.
Fast forward to a few hours later, my mom and I are searching online to see the dress online on the Bill Levkoff website. We find the dress, and it shows available colors. The color “Regency” is NOT a listed color for that dress! The bridal shop let us order the dress in the specific color but according to the website that color is not an option on the dress?!?! The bridal shop is small and family owned, and there weren’t millions of dresses, and almost all the dresses we tried on were Bill Levkoff. How could they not have known their inventory and allowed us to order the dress in a color if the dress doesn’t come in that color?
I’m freaking out, and of course the shop is closed until Tuesday. I don’t want to choose the dress if it doesn’t have the color I want. But we also don’t have a “backup” dress because they all loved THAT dress! Could there be a chance that we can still get the dress in that color even though the website doesn’t list it for that dress? I don’t even know if they will let me choose another dress and what if we don’t find another one?
Planning my wedding was so stress free until now that there’s a problem with these dresses. I only wonder what would have happened if I hadn’t discovered this for myself, what would the shop have done? Thanks all for reading, and any advice would be welcomed!!
