FI and I have narrowed down the dress selection for the bridesmaids to 3 very affordable options at Davids Bridal. Since the bridal party comes in different shapes and heights, we choose and empire waist flowy dress, with options for straps as some girls are busty. My mother is a seamstress and says all 3 styles will work for the girls bodytypes.
Problem is, they are at David’s Bridal which in Canada is few and far between and it will be difficult to get all 4 girls and myself lined up for an afternoon of shopping at Davids Bridal which is notoriously insane on the weekends.
I was hoping to just avoid a shopping trip and finalize a dress and colour and tell them to go order it, without having to do a shopping day.
How many brides out there just pick a flattering dress and say “girls go get your measurements done”….or on the flip, as a bridesmaid how often do you get told this?
The last 2 weddings I have been in, first one we went and tried on dresses, agreedon one, then the bride just picked another one she liked better and the last one the bride called me and asked me my street size, I told her and she bought one for us at a mall (worked out great, they were lovely dresses).
Any advice on this would be appreciated!
