Hi Bees, I was hoping you could help me out. I went to look for BM dresses and came up with a couple options. It’s just that the dress(option 1) that drew me to Jenny Yoo doesn’t come in the color option I want. The sales woman said that the dress looks better in the same color/family as the lace. The lace is only offered in a few colors and of course nothing really matches my color scheme so I opted for the next best thing.
Option 1: Estelle & Audrey
Color: Evening blue w/ blue lace with a garnet flower at waist.
Pros: I love the dress style. It’s more romantic and I feel it will match the style of my dress well.Cons: It’s not the color scheme I originally wanted, but more functional.
Option 2: Silk Shantang- any knee length dress
Pros: I really like the color and it’s what I ideally had in mind.Cons: It’s a "pink" dress and I don’t think everyone is going to be so happy to add it to their wardrobe.
My original thought for my color scheme was going to a raspberry red and deep rich purple. The purple I’ve been thinking about is the color in of this dress by Lazaro. If anyone has been looking through bridal magazine then you’ll know the color on the computer is not as "rich/dark" as shown in the ads. I’m not going with Lazaro because I don’t like the dresses as much.
Bottom line: should I change my color scheme for my ideal BM dress? or should I keep looking for the most ideal dress/color out there? Or is it cost worthy it to see if someone can make a replica of the dress in the colors I want?
