I’m on the hunt for a good price for my maids’ favorite dress, Watters Pine. We found a site (Bopsta.com) that appears to have the dress for significantly cheaper than elsewhere ($176 versus the pretty standard price of $250 on almost all other sites). However, I’m concerned that it is either a) a scam, or b) a company that sews/sells knockoffs. I have tried to research it, but I just can’t seem to find that much out about them (also a little concerning). Any advice my wise bees? Anyone done business with them previously or have any suggestions?
Here’s a link to the dress on their site: http://www.bopsta.com/strapless-sweetheart-bridesmaid-dress-by-watters-pine-style-4512-p-914/

The web site is Chinese (which I found out using a web tool called “whois”, but it’s also obvious from the bad English, e.g. the first question in the FAQ is “Is it scram for your site?”). I could find almost nothing linking to it, which to me means it is new.
My guess is it’s not a scam, but it almost certainly is making knockoffs.

aussiemum1248: Thank you!!! I was beginning to think no one would answer…I saw all that in the FAQs and was pretty concerned as well. Great to know about that website, I’ll be using that in the future. Thanks again! =)

Hi. I ordered a dress from Bopsta.com recently and it arrived – but was completely different to the one displayed on the website!! Absolutely awful quality too. Have had some communication with customer services but they are citing “camera angles” when photographing the dress for the website as the reason for the difference and won’t refund. Please don’t use them – the dress was really really awful!! I have ordered from JJs House before and they were very good. But all these sites in China are just making copies – they aren’t genuine dresses. Good luck with finding your dress at a great price!
