Try a Macy's with a bridal department. The Willowbrook Mall in Wayne has one.. that's where I convinced the bride from the last wedding I was in to go and we found a dress that fit all of our budgets. Plus, the saleswoman waited to charge our credit cards so that we could take advantage of the sale going on a week later.
Good luck!
You could pick out a dress you like from Bloomingdale's or Nordstrom's bridal, take a look at it in person, and then purchase the dresses when they have their friends and family event (usually at 20-25% off). Same idea could go for other chain stores (e.g., Ann Taylor). I'm typically a bargain fiend but it's late at night, so if I think of anything else I'll write again :)
http://www.bestbridalprices.com/bridesmaid-dresses-c-3.html?price=8 This is actually an online front for a brick and mortar store...Anyhoo if you don't feel comfertable ordering online their prices reflect what you will get in a local salon(if they aren't overpricing) Eden runs around $150, so does Alfred Angelio and After six. Hope this helps, I am a crazy bargin hunter so I actually researched dress prices before shopping though this place, which ended up resulted in me getting the best deal.
@Koolbeans621: oooh thank you so much!
thanks everyone for your helpful feedback!
@DocT: good idea. yes, i've been trying to bargain my way through the BM dress hunt. I'm also "hand selecting" each one because I want them all different.. so trying to find a bunch to choose from in a good fabric, cut, color, etc. within that budget has been tough.
thanks again!
@hautebride: no problem! in fact, I think Bloomie's has a friends and family going on right now (20% plus free shipping)--if you need me to forward the e-mail, PM me!
@hautebride: Have you tried the Priscilla of Boston website? Their store is closing and everything is 70% off of given price. Although stocks and sizes may be limited.
Good luck!

Hello:)
I'm looking for nice quality bridesmaid dresses in the $100-$150 range. I checked out David's Bridal but the quality was a bit disappointing, yet my budget isn't too big. I love those flowy Amsale dresses, but not sure if I can find anything like that in my budget, at a boutique in the north jersey / bergen county area? NYC would work too.
Any help would be appreciated!
Thanks!
