My girls got their dresses at Alfred Angelo for $85. I am not a fan of DB and didn’t even look there.

Have you tried Light in the Box? I showed it to my bridesmaids the other day and they instantly had about 5 or 6 dresses each that they loved. The reviews all seem great and they will even do custom sizing for people!

I was in a wedding in which we got to choose our dresses from DB, as long as they were all the same color. It worked well, and everyone was able to find what was flattering for them.

In terms of knowing what you want, you’ll get a much better idea once you start to see them try things on. 🙂

JCPenney has a nice selection. They have some on their website but they also have some super cute dresses out right now in the store!

I found my BM dresses on sale for $99 at JCrew so you could always look in their sale section to see what they have!

And at JCrew, there is an extra 30% off sale prices!

I know Target is starting to come out with BM dresses, but I’m not sure if they are only available online or what. They are super affordable (and cute!).

@yellowlace:  I just thought of Target, too. The dresses online are adorable and so affordable!

Don’t think that having a modest budget doesn’t mean you can’t have beautiful dresses!

J. Crew.  Trust me.  The dresses are always on sale and you can always find a discount code on the right side of the J. Crew fan blog, http://jcrewaficionada.blogspot.com/

This navy dress is currently $49.99. Use the “MUSTSHOP” code to get 30% off and it’s $34.99!!!! There are only a few colors, but that’s a fantstic deal!

This dress is $79.99. Use the “MUSTSHOP” code to get 30% off and it’s $55.99!!!!  There are lots of other colors.

This dress is $89.99. Use the “MUSTSHOP” code to get 30% off and it’s $62.99!!!! There are loads of colors available for this one, too.

There are tons more.  Remember to always check for the discount codes, though.  The prices are great, but there are almost always discount codes.  Also, if you spend more than $100 (place one big order), you can often get shipping for free.  🙂

@Birdee106:  I’m a huge fan of J. Crew dresses (and their sales).  I have been do happy with them that I have multiples of many dresses (I think I have 4 Nanine dresses and 3 Blakely dresses at this point).

J. Crew will also send your swatches if you are set on finding a particular color.  They will also take “wish list” requests if you need a dress in a particular size and it’s not showing up on the site (I assume they fulfill them when people rerturn dresses).  I needed a dress for one bridesmaid and couldn’t find the size and they found it within two months.

I did Modcloth dresses for all my girls.  They don’t all match each other but the colors go together nicely.  I gave them like 50 dresses to choose from that ranged from $40-$90.

@Birdee106:  And if you call JCrew and say you needed a particular size in a color or something, they will call every store in the U.S. and see if they have it. Some JCrew’s have bridal boutiques in them and carry the BM dresses!

I just bought this lovely for my rehearsal dinner about 45 minutes ago for $83.99 including tax and shipping!

I seriously cannot say enough things about them! And because your wedding is in October, all of the fall and winter colors will be going on sale if most of them aren’t already!
