I am having a bit of a problem. I have color picked out for my reception that I love for the reception but not so much for the BM dresses. I am going with pale pink, black and white for a very romantic feel. I want it to be very classic and romantic, however, I am having a terrible time finding a nice BM dress in pale pink. Any suggestions???? Can I go with a different color for BM dresses? Or will it look tacky? I am open to all suggestions and pictures if anybody can find nice BM dresses in pale pink. I have found one by Lazaro but it is like 600 dollars. There is no way I am asking my BM's to pay that. The picture below is of that dress. Please HELP!!!!!!

you mentioned other colors, would you consider black with a pale pink sash/accent?

I kind of agree with artbee. Black with pink accents would be great! I think something totally random wouldn't look good with the black/pink/white theme. Could you do another pale color and somehow incorporate it into the colors you've already picked? I don't know...Just a thought.

What about a light gold/champagne color?

I would suggest a neutral like a champagne or silver color.

I think the idea of a neutral is really good, if you're not wild about pink.  I automatically thought champagne!

How bout hot pink...or like a brighter piink?  It doesn't have to be the same shade.  My cousin did the same colors you're doing...her BM's wore black dresses with pale pink sashes and the dudes had pale pink ties.  I found the pale pink didn't really stand out...

Also, a question I have is: is the reception in the same place as the ceremony? Because if it is in a separate venue...I don't see why it would be a problem to have different colors...but that is just me. I do like the idea of the black dress though!

I think alfred angelo has BM dresses in the color your looking for. If not, I really do think the black with a pink sash looks lovely.

I'm a BM for a wedding in March and we ordered our dresses from J. Crew in a pepermint color (a very light pink). I know it is a short dress, but you might look for a long dress in that color.

I also think a sash would be great if you can't find the pink color you are looking for.

    Good luck!

What about your girls in white dresses? I saw a wedding a while ago where the girls were in all different white dresses. I thought it was very lovely. I think white is more romantic.

I don't think they have to match!  Although I do think you could probably do well for dresses with your colors (as the others have said) I just don't think they have to match.  Mine won't be matching.  The reception colors will be a few different shades of pink (like from burgundy-pink-pale pink-cream), but the ladies will be in gray.

I think of it like this: if I throw a party somewhere, and I get all the decor down with a lovely theme, do I dress to match it?  Do have the guests of honor dress to match it! No way!  I might want to make sure the vibe of our outfits & decor goes, but it doesn't gotta match...

Sorry, I havent posted on my own post for a few days. lol. To answer the question about the venues, no, they are not going to be in the same place. Also, I like the idea of silver, gray, or champange dresses. I will keep my eye out for the peppermint dresses. I never thought to search in that color but it makes sense. Thanks girls!

I never was into the dresses matching the table cloths so to speak.  I think you are OK with any pink dress, all pinks pretty much go together.  Also, the champagne someone mentioned, is a good idea.  You will find something!

I think that black is always a good option. When I told my bridesmaids that their dresses were going to be black they were thrilled because it is something that they could wear in the future. Black is always classy and romantic, not to mention figure flattering.

What about David's Bridal? They have a bunch of dresses in Candy Pink:

They have regular Pink, too, but it looks more like lavender than pink on their website, so you'd probably have to check it out in person. It seems like it would be similar to these Alfred Angelo dresses, in this color, though:
