depends on the maker. If you're getting it from Ann Taylor, they'll turn over faster than a specialty bridal maker such as Jim Hjelm or Bill Levkoff who keep their designs for about a good 2 years.
one more thing, don't buy the dresses too far in advance (like 2 years) because the chances of your bridesmaids losing/gaining weight is highly inevitable.
I'm buying Dessy dresses that was in the 2006 lines. So i know it goes back to that!
