    Hi Aussie Bees!

I'm an Aussie living in (and getting married in) London, but my MOH is in Australia -- and we won't see each other until 10 days before the wedding! My other BM is in London.

We are having the hardest time sorting out bridesmaids' dresses, because a lot of the stuff we have here isn't available online, and a lot of the stuff in the shops there isn't online for me to look at.

How are you finding your BMs' dresses? Are there any good sites you've been using to help you choose?

I would try myer or david jones.

Or send your MOH a sample color fabric swatch, and let her shop till she drops and her to take a pic and send it back.

There is ebay which would be good.  Or pic a website  and get her to chose her preferences, because she knows what style would suit her and then get her to go to a professional to get her measurements taken.

That way, when ever you go to a store you can have her in mind and her measurements right there!

I was recently a BM for my best friend and we went with Alfred Angelo dresses. Perhaps something like this could be good cos your Aussie BM will be able to get one fairly easily at a range of bridal shops and you guys can get them in London. If you wanted to you could pick one and they should both be able to get it. The only thing was that we had to order our dresses at least 3 months in advance so they'd be here in time.

    Thanks guys!

The problem with Myer/DJs at the moment is this season's colours -- we are looking at various shades of soft green, and the current trends are all towards jewel tones, which I hate. My MOH is a bit of a fashionista and she's declared herself beat on the subject, which is no fun to see. She's also a bit iffy about buying something without trying it on first, but that may have to be the way to go.

Thanks for the Alfred Angelo suggestion, MissSparkleSpaniel! I'll definitely check that one out.
