I am getting married in 3 weeks and went for short dresses that my girl’s picked out… the main reason is I want them to be able to wear their dresses again and for my own selfish pleasure of them showing off their great shoes.

I had short dresses mainly because they’re cheaper than long dresses.  What do you like better though?

We went with long dresses, mostly because we are getting married in January!

I think that if you like the short dresses that is what you should go with. Presumably, you are getting married inside and the ladies have coats, correct? No reason to get long if that is not what you want.

Yay for Oct 1! I would just ask your maids what they think and prefer.

I’m doing short: knee length or maybe tea length depending on what styles the girls like.

We’re doing short, and we’re in Canada (Southern Ontario). I chose short because I find long too formal, I want my BMs to be able to wear it again. I will also be getting them pagminas.

We are doing long…. they are chosing between davids bridal- f13974 and f13629 in persimmon.   I would have liked to get their dresses elsewhere but my BMs are scattered all over the U.S. so its too hard to get everyone to try on a dress at a local shop.

I chose long because we are having an outdoor wedding ceremony at 5:00 in the midwest and a cocktail hour on a balcony before the inside reception. I dont want everyone to be miserable since it will be chilly, maybe freezing and night time.

I love short dresses with great, cute shoes.  Plus short dresses are much cuter but, when I walked outside on my wedding day this year — i tried to consider what I would wear if I were going to a wedding that day – and it would have definitely been long sleeves or pants with a jacket.

Are you spending alot of time outdoors? I think if the ceremony and reception are indoors, go for the short!  I think if you take pictures outdoors you can always put on a coat in between photos.

I’m doing long, well at the moment. I like the look of short as they look girly and fun but I like the elegant look of long. I’m going to get my BMs pick out a couple of dresses as I want them to be happy and hopefully wear them again, so it may be they wear different styles but in my colour theme.
