So, I was an idiot and instead of choosing a dress for the bridesmaids(my 3 sisters), I am letting them pick their own which is turning out to be a pia,. All that I requested was that the dresses be short, not to the floor, since it is a daytime outdoors casual wedding.
2 of the 3 chose long gowns, errrrrrr. My other sister and my best friend(MOH) chose shorter dresses in a different style. Do ya’ll think that will look odd with a couple in short dresses and a couple in long? I’m ready just to go pick out the damn dresses myself, trying to be nice has turned into a major headache.
Ok, sorry, rant over.

Unfortunatley I think it would look a little strange to have some in short and some in long. Stop being so nice and pick the dress yourself – much easier IMO.

Well, you’re lucky your MOH is the one with the shorter dress. It’s not uncommon for the MOH to have a different style (even different hemline) than the other BMs. Although as the bride, you have total veto power, epecially since 2 of them did not follow instructions.
All 3 of my BMs are wearing different dresses: green, green/black & black. I told the girl who is wearing black this: You may pick out your own dress, but it must be just below your knees, satin or taffeta, no excess boob-age on the neckline & have a neckline that can accomodate an 18 inch necklace.
