I was having the same problem. I wanted purple and gray but my ballroom chairs are gold chivari. I changed my colors to purples, lavendars, creams, and golds but people told me I didn't have to. I'm going to have the guys vests be champagne. Not sure what I would do about the jr. bridesmaid though.
@weddinglr: I think I can exchange the Jr bridesmaids dress. i bought it at David's Bridal. Are your bridesmaids dresses purple? And your putting the guys in champagne tuxes?
@weddinglr: Oh and my dress is white and so are the guys shirts. are yours? i dont think that will matter though
my bridesmaids dresses are purple. the guys will wear black tuxes with champagne vests. My dress is ivory and the guys shirts will be too, but I think it would be fine if they were white.
David's bridal will let you exchange for something else, but they won't refund your money, so as long as you get a different dress there it should be fine.
I'm not really a fan of gold, there were just be subtle accents like the chairs and my table numbers will be in gold frames, the card box, etc at the reception. Otherwise i'm just going to stick with purples, light pinks and cream. Sort of going for a romantic feel...

My bridesmaids are wearing "grape" a darker purple. the men are wearing Silver tuxes. I am wearing white. So I am doing purple, silver and white flowers on the table. these are my colors.
I just had to get a new venue which i LOVE but the main colors are pale greens (very subtle), pinks, ivory/white and gold chivari chairs in the dining room. The bar area is neutrals. The separate dance area light yellow. then a separate lounge which is stone walls (again gold chivari chairs.
So...the main dining area where the flowera will be (purples and whites) will that look ok even though the room is mainly light shades of pinks, ivory and pale green? Does it matter or do i need to change my colors? I cannot change the purple of the dresses since they are already in. but I could possible change the tuxes? However my one Jr. bridesmaid is wearing silver and has her dress so that kind of throws a wrench in it so I guess I kind of need to keep the silver too?
How do you think this will look? Too many colors or ok since the venue colors are very light toned? Thanks!
