@ClassicLady:  pretty dresses! It might be hard to find long chiffon dresses under $150. I was looking for long chiffon dresses and most of them were in the high 180-250 range.

did you try David’s bridal? or I’d check out designer trunk shows. my bridesmaid dresses were discounted because we got them at a trunk show.

@ClassicLady:  yea, I don’t know why, but it seems chiffon is more expensive than satin.

You could also try Dessy’s group of dresses. I think those are affordable.

@ClassicLady:  oh that sounds really pretty! You could probably do the rose petal and violet, that looks very pastel-like. How many girls do you have?

@ClassicLady:  Those are pretty. My bridesmaids dresses cost $225 Surprised (with a 10% trunk show discount). But most of my girls were really great about it (plus I paid almost as much for one of their weddings). My MOH actually prefered the more expensive ones because she said that they felt nicer. And we looked around at a TON of places.

But, yea, that would get pricy if you decided to add a belt since that one comes without one.

I have 4. We wanted to keep it smaller.

ETA: The reason why that dress is $230 is because it’s silk chiffon. If you get another type of chiffon blend, it would be cheaper. Silk chiffon just feels nicer (which is why my cousin thought that it felt better).

@ClassicLady:  Yea, true.

That sounds nice of you. I think that there are plenty of options for strapless type dresses in chiffon. I definitely recommend going with a couple of your girls to try them on, though. Because what looked great on the model (or the hanger) didn’t always look great on.

@ClassicLady:  Eh, I don’t know, that really depends. I picked out a dress that I think had an empire waist and it didn’t look that great on everyone. It really depends on your girls body shapes.

I think A-Line or modified A-Line is really flattering on most people though.

This is the dress that I chose that looked good on all of my girls. It is considered to be A-Line
