So here is my quandry…
I had planned on getting one of my girls (and myself) a monogram necklace from Helzberg Diamonds (top photo). I am happy with their customer service and their selection, and I found something for my MOH there as well. It is $150 for a rose/yellow/or white gold plated necklace I believe in the medium size.
Then I got a LivingSocial deal (second photo) for almost the same thing from a site called Monogram Online. Rose/yellow/or white gold plated regularly $99 for $39!!
Though I could absolutely stand to save money, I do not want to cheap out on my girl’s gift. However, I can’t stomach the thought of spending so much more on an identical item.
Has anyone had experience with “lesser” online retailers or coupon sites? I’ve only ever used LivingSocial for restaurant or outings, not goods and definitely not jewelery. What would you do in this situation? Thanks!!

I would buy it on line and then use the money I saved and planned on spending anyway to get them something additional. I used the extra money I planned on spending on my girls to get them gift cards to their favorite resteraunts.

Misswhowedding: That’s a good idea. Plus, I wanted to get them some morning of gifts, button downs or tank tops for when we’re getting ready. And pay for their hair and make up.
The gift I’m getting for my MOH is $200. Do you think the other girl will feel slighted (obviously, she won’t know prices) – does this necklace look much nicer? They’re not getting the same thing b/c my MOH already has a monogram necklace.

I am a Southerner and love all things momogrammed! I think I want the link to that living social deal. I think that will be a great gift!

I bought a necklace through Living Social and it turned out to be a super sketchy online retailer. Never got the necklace. I’d do a thorough check of their website first to see if it looks legit.

ardowns: Uh oh, I already ordered it. I did check out the site first and it has good reviews. I got a confirmation email and tracking status already so I’m sure it’s OK.
Hopefully it’s nice so I can go back and order one for my BM!

BurlapnLace: Why not try etsy? Personally, I would prefer receiving something in sterling silver over plated any other metal. I know etsy has some similar silver necklaces for maybe $60 each??

I probably would have gone etsy too. Hopefully the living social ones work out but if not try etsy!
