does anyone have any good suggestions for bridesmaid gifts?  i don't want to go too cliche, and i'm also going to be purchasing the jewelry they will be wearing.  i'm having a summer wedding with a large bridal party, and i don't want to waste money on gifts that are "cheesy" or impractical.  i could use some creative ideas!  thanks :)

this may not be your style but I am giving mine Teva sandals in their fav color (either that or my wedding colors) so they can wear em at the reception for all the fun dancing, seamless/ wedgie-less Soma panties, and turban head wrap things for when they get outta the shower for when we're all getting ready :) I also might get their initials sonogrammed on the turbie twists if it isnt too expensive.

im having 8 bridesmaids and 2 other attendants so i cant do anything too costly.

these are all definitely practical, fun, and fitting for all our laid-back personalities.

Since I'm doing mani/pedis for my girls, as their gift, I found some really great Pottery Barn robes that were on sale and had their monograms sewn on them.  I may also find some cute slippers.  This way we can all have a spa experience in our hotel (since the mani/pedi people are coming to us)!

i bought coach bags this weekend for them... not sure how great of a present these are, but oh well... two of them have purses way way way more expensive than coach...and the other two will probably like em...

    but i love purses...

I've been collecting little things here and there but the main things are that I'm paying for their hair to get done and got them handpainted compacts, they are small and pretty and not something they would buy for themselves.

I made each girl a charm bracelet. The charms represented different memories/trips that we had shared together, as well as some of the traits that I love about them. You can see more here: http://ms-bliss.blogspot.com/2008/11/charming-bridesmaids-gifts.html.

Now I plan to get them more charms for their bracelets whenever a special occasion rolls around.

I got my girls tank tops that said bridesmaid as impractical as that was after the wedding it was fun for the bachelorette party, rehearsal and wedding day. I also gave them bracelets to wear at the wedding and a little leather pocket mirror to have with them at the reception and for whatever they need after the wedding.

I think I'm going to fill some tote bags...maybe a bridesmaid survival kit or something. I saw some cute things on theknot.com. I just don't know what I'm going to do for my MOH, who is my best male friend!

This is not necessarily creative, but you could give each of them a giftcard to their favorite store.  (At least it's a very practical gift!)  You could up the creativity factor by packaging them nicely or including small trinkets that reflect the girl's style and personality.

The mani/pedi idea is actually awesome and wouldn't have thought of that...I think that's your best bet!

I was just at Deluxe Favors' website and they have a pretty good collection of bridesmaid gifts --  check it out if you need ideas:

I hope they don't read this, but I want to get them jewelry rolls. They actually have them on sale at Pottery Barn right now - except in only red and green. Here's a link to it:

    http://www.potterybarn.com/products/p11754/index.cfm?pkey=cgifts-under-tewnty-five&cm_src=m1

You can also get these embroidered. There are other similar ones you can find online.

Buy them some jewelry and put them on the jewelry roll before giving it to them.

I also want to give them a mini martini shaker..because we all love to drink! =)

I did a few different things for my bm's:

First, I got them each a monogramed robe from pottery barn ($20.00each on sale) For a picture click here.

Then, I planned a spa day for the group of us to relax, I got each girl a massage (about $50.00each on promotion) at my day spa. And I gave them notecard sets I made using designhergals.com.

For info on all of this click here.

Finally, I had ordered totebags with their names on them and filled them with their wedding jewelry, footpetals, nail polish, emergency bm kits, slippers, evian hydrating spray, bath and body works, and a few other goodies.

I had a lot of fun putting this all togther, and with everything being on sale and purchasing items  over several months it really didn't hurt my pocket book.
