Well, I am purchasing their bracelet (for the wedding) that I am putting in a gold jewelry bag, getting them flip flops, and a small tote with their names on it. Also, I am renting a suite with two connected rooms for the day before the wedding.
I so like the idea of homemade salt scrubs. I think I might steal that one!
I think all of those are WONDERFUL ideas!
I'm doing pashminas, their hair and makeup, a charm, and a tote with...well, homemade salt scrubs, etc!
I'm also debating getting them robes, but I think I'll pass on that one.
I'm having cool totes made for them by a friend who has a silkscreening business and then filling them with a couple of little gifts inside (lotion, etc). It's certainly a more useful gift than anything I've been given as a bridesmaid before and the bags are so neat, I'm having one made for myself. It's not the priciest gift in the world, but I think it's nice and since I'm not asking them to buy a bridesmaid dress (they're wearing a little black dress of their choice), I think it's all right.
Here's what I did!! With their names & I haven't given it to them yet!

I love the idea of a pashmina or cute clutch. But if you're asking your ladies to shell out many bucks, think about a way to ease the burden a bit. I'm getting close to spending $1500 for a wedding I'm in this spring, so I'd LOVE some help with paying for my hotel or hair and makeup the weekend of the actual event.
Don't get me wrong, I adore my friend getting married and she would do the same for me in a heartbeat. But everything added up is a LOT of money.
Pearl earrings and necklace. Kate Spade clutch. Monogrammed robe. Reef flip flops. Sole Mates for their heels.
@Lees - Is that a white hoody? Zip up? Other kind of jacket? I like the idea!!
I bought my girls (2) black tot bags with their first initial in pink. Now i have to figure out what to put in them....
I also bough their necklaces and earrings. But they were with me when we bought them (we all picked it out together).
I bought this for my girls, I got three different ones and they're from Chinatown in NYC!!

I am getting my maids their wedding day jewelry (earrings, necklace & bracelet set), some body spray and lotion and flip flops. I also purchases some little trinket boxes to put the jewelry in that will serve as a jewelry bos or trinket box. Oh and I bought some wet towlettes from Bath & body works to put in each other bags also so they can have handy the day of. :) I am debating to shell out the extra bucks for a hotel room the night before.
I just bought my bridesmaid gifts yesterday. I got them both purses, but different ones, and I'm going to make up a little giftbag with chocolates and bath bombs to go with it. I also bought their dress, shoes, hairpieces, wraps, and am getting their hair done on the day. It's fun shopping for them!
I got them all canvas tote bags with theirs names embroderd on the them, zip up hoodies with their names, flip flops, nail polish for their toes, and I wrote them all a letter.
@Missomally what are the solemates? i see the pic but...what do they do, is it for comfort or so the heels don't sink down outside in grass or...?
I think they're so your heel doesn't sink into the grass, down a hole (deck), etc...
@sunshine: Yes mam it's a white zip up hoodie!! :) I got mine from Wet Seal for $8.00 each for 6 of them & it cost $50.00 total for the embroidery! :)
I went a little crazy with gifting and ending up getting my MOH a ton of stuff. I know she appreciated the robe I gave her. I also gave her a pedicure kit, a spa gift certificate, slippers, nail polish, and a tank top that said MOH. But she said the thing she still uses and loves is the pedicure kit.
I found a sale and got them each a Royal Doulton figurine for arouned $75 and a pair of pajamas for the girls night in the night before the wedding. I figure they're spending enough on their dress/my shower/etc that I could get them a keepsake that will last longer, versus jewelery I can't be guaranteed they'd wear again.
Thank you all so much!! You all have some amazing ideas, and I appreciate your help!!!
What do you lovelies think of this tote? I love to make things, and I could make these personalized to fit each girls' personality, and also use all different sorts of fabrics and whatnot. I could dress it up or make it more casual. (Personally, I'd use this all the time!)
Thoughts?!

That's an adorable bag for a bridesmaid gift! I was thinking of contributing to wedding expenses for my girls, but also getting them a little something... a DIY bag wouldn't break the bank, now would it? Great idea!
I'm still figuring out the rest of their gifts but so far I've contributed $75 towards each of their dresses. I'm thinking of maybe a first initial necklace and pendant of their birthstone to attach to their bouquets and a cute clutch. That is all dependent on if I can find those things reasonably priced tho!
I bought them their shoes, I bought them each a necklace and earring set, and I'm debating on if I should get them each a Coach clutch or each a gift certificate to the place where we're getting hair done to offset most of the associated costs...
Ladies - where did you get the robes from? I like that idea and the getting ready picture would be so sooooo cute!!
I've so far got cute monogrammed tote bags, monogrammed little tissue packs for the big day, and I'm going to be getting them matching silver and amethyst necklaces. I told them I'd pay for hair too.. because a lot of my maids are flying from across country for my wedding! I only have three girls so the money burden won't be too bad and I love them all!

Hello bees!!
Happy Friday!! I was wondering what everyone is planning on doing for gifts for their bridesmaids. I'm sort of stuck right now, and only have the idea of a Tiffany's inspired initial necklace and a super sweet handbag.
That's pretty much as far as I've gotten. I thought about maybe making some homemade bath salts and bubble bath, putting them in fun jars and making our own label for the bottle. I've also thought about putting something in there that would be sweet (homemade carmel popcorn came to mind!) I'm just sort of stuck!!
Have a great weekend, bees!!
