I purchased leather clutches from Danier, each bridesmaid (I have 6) will get a unique colour that I think suits them. It’s not for using at the wedding, just a fun gift.
I am getting them small silver compact mirrors and engraving them with their initials. Those will go in the clutch.
Then I am getting them each a pair of earrings for them to wear at the wedding (if they choose). And I am giving them “custom” DIY wine glasses to use at the wedding and then keep afterwards.
That’s all I have for now… ๐Ÿ™‚

Like the other person, I too bought the same style handbag for each of my bridesmaids in a color that I thought they’d like. I got a great deal at the Coach factory store – who wouldnt like a Coach handbag?  It’s an everyday bag that I think the girls will like and get use out of. And, I also got an engraved silver compact mirror from Things Remembered (or a store like that) just as a little something extra. I liked it and bought it after purchasing the handbags. I like to shop lol

I did a little survival kit which has : a planner, a cutesy pen, wine, a diamond shaped wine topper, chocolates, glittery nail file, and a leather wristlet. Of course a card that I plan on writing a really personal message in too. Not sure if I should add something else!

I got them handmade necklaces from a seller on etsy. It’s of a little bouquet and the first letter of the names. They can wear it with their dresses the day of. I’m really against the idea of gifts for the wedding party, but we decided to follow this tradition in the most minimal way possible.

I’m getting them floral robes from etsy + a hangar with their name ๐Ÿ™‚ Each robe was $30 and hangers were $13. Planning on taking some getting ready pics in them.

I got mine in white and my BM’s in magenta ๐Ÿ™‚

I have two bridesmaids. I ordered them each a nice necklace from Berricle to wear for the wedding (hopefully they’ll rewear them, too), and I plan on taking them to a nice lunch the week of my wedding. I’d like to get them another little something, but I haven’t decided what just yet ๐Ÿ™‚

I am doing matching/group presents and individual gifts.

Matching presents for the girls: pamper package including bath salts, bubble bath, some of my favorite makeup and beauty products that I think they may also love. Maybe some of the matching robes everyone does because they’re so cute… have to figure out if they fit in the budget though.

Matching presents for the guys: travel set of Jack Black products in monogrammed travel toiletry bags.

I’m probably also doing Leatherman Micras engraved with their names. Maybe pendants and cufflinks if I have time to make them… so far I haven’t though.

Individual gifts that I’ve worked out so far…

MOH – something from Kate Spade because she loves Kate Spade

one bridesmaid – cute tote-style purse filled with books

another bridesmaid – things covered with the sort of ridiculous patterns that she likes… I know she’ll appreciate quantity of gifts over one more expensive thing. So far I have a little Nine West clutch with a ridic flower pattern on it. I was thinking also a shirt or shoes and then something else, idk what. JCrew had these really amazing pants that she would love I don’t know her pants size and they didn’t have it in a shirt.

everyone else – ????????

I am filling little baskets for each girl with things that they love. I may get some simple gold earrings for them to wear at the wedding just so that they are cohesive (all the dresses are different styles and all the shoes will be different as well)

The only thing that will be the same in each basket is the little makeup pouch i made, though each has a different fabric AND I got them each a little travel Benefit Cosmetics kit with a makeup highlighter and mascara. This specifically:

I’m probably cheap, but I’m just getting them wedding day things. I’m going to be paying for half of their dress price, their makeup, their jewelry.

@allyfally:  You are not cheap. I did not even know this thing was a tradition until I came on here…….

@Fizzybee:  I didnt either, to be honest. Nor did I know about giving your spouse a wedding day present or giving your parents a present.

@allyfally: Why do all these random suprise traditions cost money? If I pay for the bridesmaid’s shoes, can that be their present?
