Hey ladies! I’m trying to get ideas of what to get my girls. So far I’ve got them hangers for their dresses and I’m thinking maybe necklaces but I really want them to wear something coordinated on the wedding day as we are getting dressed. i found these on etsy theyre personalized with the letter of the first name – do you guys think it’s a good idea? Please share pics of what you got your bridesmaids!!

I gave my bridesmaids monogrammed mugs from Anthropolgie (all are coffee addicts!), Starbucks gifts cards, a Kate Spade anchor necklace, a photo frame with an IOU for a wedding photo us me with the bridesmaid and a mini emergency kit. I also gave them earrings to wear for the wedding and made them personalized hangers for their dresses but those items were not the main focus or really what I considered part of their gift. I wanted their gifts to be a thank you for being in the wedding and be something they would enjoy all the time not just on the day of the wedding.
I think the tank tops are cute because while personalized they’re not overly “wedding” or anything so they could wear them again if they wanted to for something.

BlushedBride5050: They are cute, but keep in mind that anything that is for picures or anything you expect them to wear in the wedding is not a gift. It is a prop for your pcitures.
The best wedding party gifts are those that are chosen for each person individually as if you were shopping for their birthday.

Ms_Purple: Nice! Love the monogrammed mugs!!
julies1949: This is a very good point. I never thought about it actually being a prop as opposed to a gift. I’ll have to do some digging and put my creativity hat on and maybe still give them the personalized stuff to use on the wedding day but definitely get them unique individual gifts as well
thank you for your feedback!!

Those tank tops look cheesy.

BlushedBride5050: dont pay a lot for those tanks. you could easily buy some tank tops from Old Navy, and get a few Iron On monogram letters from Hobby Lobby and do that yourself

This may be an odd question, but what are the chest sizes of your ladies? I’m a DDD and those tanktops are the bane of my existance. My bras generally have thick(er) straps than most and a thick back band, which means my bra would be sticking out all over the place. I would be extremely uncomfortable and aware of that, not to mention that DDD breasts will NOT modestly in those types of tanks. I don’t know what it is about them, but every time I wear one and I look down 3/4 of my boobs are hanging out. If I received this, not only as a gift, but also as a MANDATORY prop to be worn for your getting ready pictures, I would be highly uncomfortable and (a teensytiny amount) annoyed.

You also need to keep in mind how they are having their hair done and pulling the tank top over their hair. I’d suggest doing a button down and having their initials on it. you can get them cheap at TJ Maxx, Marshals or somewhere like that.
