Hey everyone. I’m torn on what to get my bridesmaids. I know that I want to get them a handbag (since I’m a bag snob, it is fitting). I’m trying to keep the bag around $140-180 so I can also purchase them some jewelry. I’ve never carried Long Champ bags, but I’ve heard theyre very popular. What is everyones opinion on these bags?
My other option is a cute Kate Spade tote, but it’s smaller and the Tory Burch mini.

Longchamp. It’s very lightweight and makes a good shopping bag.

A lot of women I know have the Longchamp bags and love them, but I personally think they’re a bit plain. I really love the Tory Burch one you posted!

I’m a Kate Spade girl, so that’s the way I’d go, but the first one is nice too. I’d be more likely to carry something the size of the Kate Spade bag.

Longchamp for sure. I don’t personally have one (yet) but I think they’re definitely a bag everyone can use. It’s lightweight and classic and the big ones are great for hauling books, beach stuff, baby stuff, clothes, gym stuff, etc. I’m not sure if they still offer it, but I remember LC having custom color combinations available on their website at a slightly higher cost than the regular ones. You can change the color of the handle and the bag (and maybe the handle length too).

Sorry I’m not a fan of any of them. I love a nice purse/handbag but I’m not a fan of expensive tote bags. If I need a tote I prefer something cute and cheap. This $35 Marc Jacobs tote is the one I currently use the most, (I have it in pink)
While the ones you posted cost a substantial amount of money none of them look it. And because they are utilitarian and will be used to carry around groceries, shoes, books, baby stuff etc, they will get beat up very quickly, which would suck since they are not cheap.

I love the Tori and the Long Champ. Can I be in your wedding ;o)

love my longchamp bags! They’re cute, hold a lot of stuff and are versatile.

Tori. Black, basic.
I love a nice stylish tote. Take them to work, on vacation, everywhere because I travel daily with lots of necessities.

they are nice but personally i think they are a bit expensive for totes; unless of course your bm’s use totes all of the time. would they use them as every day purses? it’s hard to judge the actual size of them.
i don’t use totes often and when i do, they are just regular totes.

@mypinkshoes: The long champ & Kate spade can be used as everyday bags. The Tory is probably more of a tote.

Yikes! I’m not a fan of any of them, especially for what you’re paying for them. Are they the style of your bridesmaids? If so, go for it!

@Meowkers: I love these! Get a different color for each BM.
The mini Tory is cute, but it’s pretty mini :-/

I personally HATE Longchamp bags. Why spend so much money for a plain nylon bag? If I am spending that much on a purse, I want REAL leather, not thin nylon. I work at a University, and yes they are popular, all the freshmen girls carry them, but I don’t know for the life of me WHY!
I think you could find some much nicer bags for your girls, don’t get caught up on the label. If you insist and sticking to these, I like the Kate Spade best.
I recommend Vera Bradley totes as a compromise. They are cute, super wearable, easily washed, etc. And you can get them on good sales online.

@cmbr: Thanks! I’m a Louis Vuitton girl, and Kate Spade is a close second. I really love the Kate Spade bag, although I like the bigger one better but of course it’s more expensive. I do want to purchase them some Kate Spade jewelry too!!
@ChemistryBride: Thanks for the recommendation, except I cannot stand Vera Bradley. They’re so country, which isn’t me, or my BM at all. BUT You mentioned all the “freshman” girls carry the Longchamps – so I’m going to stray away. They must be for the younger crowd. All my BM are 28-32. Thanks for pointing this out. I appreciate it!!
