Okay, so I bought all 3 of my girls a cardigan to wear over their bridesmaid dresses once the sun goes down and it gets chilly up in the mountains. I want to get them something else as well but am struggling over what to get. I considered jewelry, but I don’t want them to think they have to wear it on the wedding day – I already told them they get to choose their own jewelry to personalize their look.
Here are some ideas I’ve come up with – I’d love to see what most of you would prefer!

@copewedding: what about gift cards to their favorite stores? Or is the GC intended for them to buy their shoes?

Thank you so much for____________. I want you to be confidant standing up there so part of my gift will be paying for your hair!
I can’t believe the time is already here! I am so greatful for you, and to show you my gratitude I’m paying for your hair-do!

What about a nice bottle of bubbly? Or perhaps a gift card for a manicure?
I think it would be nice if you paid for their hair, but I wouldn’t count that as a gift in the same way as I would the other suggestion you came up with. It’s a nice gesture, absolutely – but in reality, it’s a one day thing that makes them look nicer for your photos.

@jasonkatie2014: No, they already have their shoes for the wedding day. But I figure, who doesn’t love shoes?! Haha
@eocenia: That’s why I was hesitant about paying for their hair. It’d be nice for me to do, but I feel like it’s not really a gift since it’s a one time only thing. 🙂

@copewedding: I got each of my girls a different, yet cute, bangle style bracelet from Kate Spade. We also paid for their hair and makeup to be done the day of at the house, so they were pampered as much as I was.

@copewedding: Exactly! I’ll pay for the hair for my bridesmaids (only two) as I want them to feel pretty that day, but not forced to pay for it themselves. As their “real” gifts, I’ll give them a small card I’ve made (yes, I’ll hand write them… sigh) together with a traditional bracelet made by the natives living in the area I’m from. They will look something like this (I will bring them to the lady I know who makes them and they can select their own):
So, just one gift – but I rather keep it small as I myself don’t like getting big bulky gifts.

Oh, I’d do the DSW gift card all day long. A gift card and a good sale at DSW can go a LONG way….
Besides, what girl doesn’t love shoes? I just scored 5 pair from the comfort of my bed from DSW’s website during their Memorial Day sale…

i voted for the cosmetics bag – PERSONALLY, I wouldn’t want one from LUSH. I do not shop at that store, their poltics leave something to be desired but that’s my personal opinion. I think any type of home pampering kit would be loevely.
