Maybe one nice thing would be great. But it all depends on what you get ... i love totes too though. I think anything is nice though. I am still stumped on my girls too!
I am getting my bridesmaids all custom made necklaces and earrings for them to wear for the wedding. :) Hopefully they like them.
I think that you should get them one nice thing; rather than several smaller things. And I agree, it should be something that you know they will be able to use after the wedding.
I struggled with this as well, and I think it's better to get them one lovely gift than two ok gifts they may not use. I say go with the necklaces!
I don't really think you need to give two gifts. I suggest you visit www.dogeared.com. They have lots of really special and contemporary jewelry. You could actually each bridesmaid a different necklace or bracelet, or all the same.
I especially like these http://www.dogeared.com/large-pearls-of-friendship-gold-dipped-necklace-with-white-pearl-18-inch and http://www.dogeared.com/the-love-and-friendship-sterling-silver-necklace , but there are lots here too http://www.dogeared.com/category/variety.
I voted clutch/wristlet, but I think a necklace could be a nice option. Just get them one thing if budget is an issue. They'll appreciate it either way, I think. also, those two items seem to be the most "reusable" and they'll think of your wedding everytime they take it out...bonus!
Whoa! Necklace seems to be the big winner! I think I'll go with that one :) Thanks hive :) You guys are the best :D
I would definitely give them a necklace. It will pull their look together, and be something they can reuse and cherish!
i voted tote, because I'm a bag lady, and it's my personal belief that you can never have too many :)
I am getting my girls wristlets because I know they will like them. They will each be a differnt color (i.e. brown, black, white, crazy pink zebra print for my hip younger sister). So that is what I voted for in your Poll.
I got mine necklaces to wear at the wedding & personalized stationary cards!

All along I've been planning on getting my bridesmaids little clutches and necklaces with a note in them for their bridesmaid gift, but as I've started looking, I'm finding that I'm not having so much luck and am thinking about switching it up. I'm also thinking that more of them would use a nice tote than a clutch...
No matter what I end up getting, they'll be getting the same type of thing... but in different variations to fit their style. So, if I picked a tote one might get a solid blue one and another might get one with a mutlicolored bird design or whatever.
One big stumbling block for me is cost... The whole wedding has been on an EXTREMELY tight budget and I can only spare 20$-30$ each on the gifts. Should I just get them one nicer thing... or should I get a bag with something in it where each part costs a little less but they get more?
Thanks Hive!
