I have a larger budget for bridesmaid gifts and I really want to make sure I’m getting my girls something they will love and not just have as a wedding accessory. I’m looking for suggestions for cool things, $100-$200 range. I’ve already gotten them Tori Burch wristlets so don’t need anything in the handbag category. They paid for their own dresses and threw me an amazing bachelorette party so I really want to treat them. Most live in NYC where space is a premium so I don’t want to get them gifts for the sake of gifts that they won’t use in the future.

nyctoireland: I am buying my bridesmaid’s (I only have one) shoes. The nude ones.
I will probably buy her handbag to go with it.
I also am buying all my girls, 2 junior bridesmaids and a junior bride personalized gold necklaces from an etsy seller.

I got customized bags off etsy that say “bridesmaid” and then inside there will be a cute robe, a nice candle and a pait of Kate spade earrings. All in I spent about 110-120 per bag.

I got mine $75-100 gift cards to their favorite stores along with a bunch of other things. I spent about $200 each girl not including their makeup which I paid for.

I’m planning on monogrammed jewelery rolls from etsy, a bar necklace, and a handmade scarf/wrap.

I have one friend who’s lifestyle is a bit higher-end than the rest of us. When she got married, she bought us all the jewelry the wanted us to wear for the day. I really appreciated that since I didn’t want to spend the money on something to live up to the expectations of that wedding. I’d never really wear it again. I’d just be throwing my money in the trash really.
The other thing I really appreciate is when brides pay for my hair and make up. That’s a lot of money to spend on me and I’m very thankful for it.
If all that’s covered – I’d go for something more personalized to each maid. A gift card to their favorite restaurant or something.

nyctoireland: Maybe a pretty robe? I love the ones made by Plum Pretty Sugar and you could get them monogrammed. http://store.plumprettysugar.com/cotton-voile-robes/ There are similiar (and much cheaper) ones available on Etsy, too.

You can et them monogrammd jack rodgers $165 each – always in style, do not take up a lot of room and they can change into them for dancing. Everyone wears thes in the Hamptons and on LI. 🙂

nyctoireland: I took them out to get massages. It wasn’t crazy expensive (around $60 for 1 hour), but who doesn’t love relaxing to an awesome deep tissue massage before a hectic day?! 😉
