@furtureffcaptwife: I have been in a few weddings and only once did I get a bm gift. She got me my favorite candle from bath and body works. I loved getting something that I would actually use, instead of wedding jewelry.
I got my girls each a pair of my favourite sweat pants and a cute make-up bag that i found on Etsy. Each girls gift is less than $50.
get them individual gifts. they don't have to be the same thing for all of them and they don't have to be bridemaidy (new word). ask yourself, what would you buy them for their birthday? just keep all the gifts around the same value.
I am going to give my BMs a set of really nice blank cards with fancy evelope liners, but my BMs are 30 and are the type to send thank-you notes. I am not sure exactly what else I'm going to give them - maybe monogamed make-up bags.
I'd suggest shopping for them like it was their birthday. Cute canvas bags are always helpful, especially grocery shopping. Pashmina scarves in their favorite colors. Wine for the wine lover, coffee (gourmet) for the caffiene addict. It doesn't have to 'seem' like a bridesmaid gift.
So far I have purchased shirts, flip flops, and travel sized hygiene products. I plan on going to Things Remembered to get them soemthing else.
What about a towel wrap like this? http://www.etsy.com/listing/90253498/personalized-spa-towel-wrap-wedding?utm_source=googleproduct&utm_medium=syndication&utm_campaign=GPS
It's personalized and would look cute in a picture while you are getting ready.
Another option is a robe. You can do a personalized one, or a solid or floral pattern that fits each girl's personality. Here are some options: http://www.etsy.com/search/handmade?includes%5B0%5D=tags&search_type=all&noautofacet=1&q=bridesmaid+robes&page=1
I have slowly been shopping for my girls. I know I am way ahead of the game since my wedding is a year away but I figure when things go on sale I shouldn't pass it up. I' all about saving some money!

Ok ...creative bees,
I need help figuring out what to get my bridesmaids on a budget. My MOH and one of my girls already have jewelry so I don't really want to buy jewelry for them...what cool thing did you get for your girls that they loved??? I am in need of some serious inspiration. What would you have loved to get as a bridesmaid. They only time I was a bridesmaid was about 20 years ago...so I have limited knowlege of what a good gift for these very special women would be...
