So far all I have for my bridesmaids are these cardigans from Target:
and I am making them each a matching necklace and earring set. For the necklaces, I am going to follow this tutorial:
that is supposed to be a knockoff of this anthropologie necklace:
But these are both things that they will be wearing for MY wedding! Although they have all said they will wear the cardigans again (and hopefully the necklaces, too) I really want to include something a little more personal for them. The problem is, it has to be something really inexpensive because we are really trying to stretch our budget right now. (It doesn’t help that I have 7 bridesmaids) I don’t mind doing more DIY.. I was thinking about getting those canvas tote bags and doing a custom stamping on them to throw everything into for something a little extra?
What are you giving your girls? Do you have any nice, inexpensive ideas for me?
If you want to throw in any ideas for my uber girly 10 year old flower girl that would help too (I gave her the option of flower girl or jr bridesmaid, she choose flower girl 🙂 )
I should add that my bridesmaids are all pretty different from one another. I have a couple that a more trendy, a couple that are a little edgy, a tad bit butch lesbian (the only exception to the probably wearing the cardigan and necklace again thing), a miniature italian, a mommy, and a country girl. My best friends in a nut shell! I repeat, I need help. LOL.

I bought a cute bucket thing and in there I put an inexpensive bottle of wine, some popcorn a candy and the bridesmaids movie. and we did the same thing for the guys except hangover 2 and beer.
I also ordered robes from cottonage.com ($5) and ironed on their initial. and I bought wood hangers and glued silk flowers and ribbon on them. I had them hanging up when we all got ready.
I also etched wine glasses for my girls. (youtube) I bought wine glasses at the dollar store.

I got my bridesmaids bracelets with heart charms, and their initials engraved. My MOH loves candles, so I also gother a personalized candle from inthepink.com. It’s absolutely beautiful.

I second the wine (or whatever type of drink each girl prefers). Booze is a pretty ubiquitous gift. My girls are getting gemstone lariat necklaces ($20/ea with discount), tote bags from VistaPrint ($17 for all with a $70 Groupon, $15/ea full price), and some personalized, plastic tumblers like the kind you get from Starbucks with the lid, but reusable ($14/ea). I was also throwing around the idea of getting them each a cheap clutch and putting some emergency kit items in there, like chapstick, stain pens, deodorant remover, gum, their timelines, etc.
I don’t think there’s anything wrong with getting different gifts for each bridesmaid if they have different tastes, either. In fact, it would show how well you know each of them.
Other ideas might be some nice picture frames or gift certificates for something fun (dinner, laser tag, zoo, whatever).

I am going to give my girls their totes at the shower because I am going to give them things for the bacherette party too. I got all my girls Totes that I am going to personalize and inside there will be a hair piece for the wedding day, a bracelet, personalized hangers, tank tops that we will decorate together and wear on the way to the bachlorette, rehearsal and day of, glow sticks and such for the BP and hand made thank you cards.
I was thinking of getting them flasks, but I haven’t decided.

Thank you all so much for the great ideas!! I think I will end up getting them all something a little different to fit their personalities 🙂 Keep the ideas coming!

I got them something from my FI’s hometown (known for their artsy jewelry) and something from my hometown (wine from our local winery).
I agree with PPs, you can get different things for different girls. Everyone above has fantastic ideas. 🙂 I also recommend looking at http://www.etsy.com for unique and beautiful gifts, just search for “bridesmaid gifts.” Super affordable options on there.

I have three female and one male bridal attendant, which makes giving gifts a bit tricky. I think I’m going to give the girls handmade jewelry (earrings and a necklace) and the male attendant a pair of cufflinks or a pocket watch. Each person is also going to get a card with a meaningful message inside, a framed picture of us together, and a personalized travel mug.
