My fiancée and I got engaged 2nd of July 2012 (my birthday). As like every girl I had planned everything already (as u do) so I had always imagined my 3 sisters and oldest niece aa my bridesmaids which is perfect! My fiancée has 1 sister and two brothers so too be proper and as I had a brieeamaid sister theme going on I asked his sister also to be a bridesmaid. Now as in only 24 and had never been to a wedding ( my 3 sisters are married but I was way too young to remember) I didn’t realise how bloody expensive it can be. So we booked a package which was 30 day guests which is the perfect amount for our mums, dads, bro, sis & nieces & nephews. So we are going to be adding on about another 40 odd at night. Now my only prob is I am going to have 5 bridesmaids and he will have 3 groomsmen. First of all the numbers don’t match(oops) and we only have 30 guests which most are children and most will be in the actual wedding. 5 bridesmaids, 3 groomsmen, too much for 30 guests ? Thoughts ?

I’m not sure that I followed all that, but it’s not a problem to have 5 bridesmaids and 3 groomsmen. Our sides were uneven and it wasn’t an issue at all. Don’t worry about it.

I have 5 bridesmaids and (right now) FI only has 2 groomsmen. There’s nothing wrong with them being uneven.

@JenGirl: sorry new to wedding bee and my iphone corrector doesn’t help with spelling haha. Basically number 1 Does it matter both sides are uneven? and 2 is it stupid to have 5bm and 3gm in a 30 guest wedding?

@Stacey-x: No worries! Auto correct can be a bitch! I think it’s fine to have uneven sides and it’s fine to have 3-5 on each side and only 30 guests. Yes, that means you don’t have a whole lot of guests who aren’t actually in the wedding, but I think that’s fine!

@Stacey-x: If these girla nd guy mean something to you guys and you didn’t just pick them to pick them then I say it’s ok (my friend had 4 and 4 on each side for a 25-30 people wedding, and it was fine). Also there is nothing wrong with uneven sides.
