I’d like them know before so they dont expect you to cover it all the way up.

You could make cute little *gift cards* or coupons valid for a hair do, though! Just to show them that that’s included.

Actually, I would recommend telling them this further in advance.  If you wait until the RD, they will probably do one of two things:

1.  Assume that you ar not covering hair and will have their own ideas, set up their own appointments etc, regarding their hair.

2.  They will ask you ahead of time, to be sure.  Then you will have to lie or dodge the issue to keep the surprise up, or just tell them of the gift then anyway.

I think it’s just importnat they know about this ahead of time.  They’ll want to be prepared for the time of the appointment etc.  At least that’s how I’d feel.  Also, in paying for their hair, are you going to insist on a certain hairstyle?  If so, I would make sure they know with as much time as possible.  (Just me, maybe)  but if I was in a wedding, and nothing was mentioned about hair,  I’d be thinking about how I wanted to wear my hair.  And if I came up with something good, and then found out at the last minute, that the bride wanted something different I’d be bummed.

Oh, then your just fine.  Does your stylist give certificates?  You could give them each a little compact or something (related to hair or make up) and put the certificate in there.

Is that what you were looking for?  I might be tapped for ideas now..  But anyway you slice it, I think your girls are going to think you’re sweet for paying for it.

I know i’m out of topic, but it’s kinda related to this post, so please hear me out.

I have 7 bridesmaids (all cousins and my sister) and i have 2 MOHs.  I told them earlier on that i can’t pay for their hair and make up coz we’re kinda over budget on everything and they were ok with it.  I promised them though that i will help them source an affordable hair stylist and make up artist.  Most of the ones i found were charging $100 for hair and $75 for make up.  I let 3 of my BMs know about the results (these 3 are my fiance’s cousins).  Only 1 of them usually reply to my emails with the response of "i’ll go with the rest of them" or "that sounds nice".  I feel that they’re totally ignoring me coz i see that they’re busy posting on facebook. My other 4 BMs (3 of them my cousins and 1 is my sister) and MOHs are following along with my research or actually helping me out with my research.

Yesterday, i was able to book 2 hair stylist and make up artist that will do their hair and make up at my house for $65 (spring promotion).  Should i let my fiance’s cousins know about it, or should i wait for them to ask me how my research is going to see if they’re actually interested?  I’ve sent them at least 5 emails on facebook (which is how we usually communicte), but like i said, they never reply…

(I realize this is late, but I just thought I’d weigh in!)

You totally have to let them know prior to the RD. They might even not plan on spending the morning/time with you if they don’t know they’re getting their hair done!
