It depends, who’s idea was it that Kay does the hair.  Did she volunteer? did your cuz ask her to make it cheaper for you guys?

If your cuz is dead set on Kay then just go with it, it’s her wedding.  If she feels conflicted you can suggest going to a saloon.

I think you should do this – first, show us what you’ve picked out, maybe some hair stylist bees can talk about how complicated it is and/or give you pointers on how to do it yourself.

If it’s not complicated, send it to Kay in advance – like today or tomorrow or whatever – and tell her that’s what you and your sis are looking at doing, what does she think – this way, you can get all that out of the way in advance – she should already know what your hair is like, having worked on the two of you before, right?

Then, practice doing it on your own, as well.  If she starts taking a long time on one of you, the other can start doing it yourself or if she messes up, you can go over it yourself and fix it.

I don’t think you should waste money and go to a hair salon if you have someone who you trust is good, but just takes a long time and is indecisive, I think you can give her the push and as BMs, maybe not pick something overly complicated to begin with.

But first, show us pix. 🙂

@Twyla_Smith:  Honestly I’d take someone with SOME hair training over me trying to do my own hair any day.

Maybe just have her do something on the simple side so if she totally screws it up, you have time to do the repairs.

@Twyla_Smith:  it seems like you just want a polished low chignon.  Ask her if you can come by sometime this week to see if she can do it on you – I don’t even think the both of you have to go, just one of you to see if she can do it and have it come out nice.
