My five bridesmaids are all wearing different dresses; I just asked that they pick a floor length Jim Hjelm dress in ice blue (more of an aquamarine color). They’ve all been asking what they should wear in terms of jewelry, shoes, and how they should wear their hair. What do you think? I’m not really sure what to tell them since all of their dresses are different styles. One has a sweetheart neckline with one strap, one is a faux wrap with criss-cross straps in the back, one is a v-neck with a deep scoop in the back, one is spaghetti straps with a kind of triangle top, and one is a one-shoulder style. What jewelry guidelines would work for all of them? And what color(s) shoes should I suggest? The wedding colors are ivory, blush, taupe and the icy aqua they are wearing is the accent color.

hmmmm im not sure… i would say let them wear whatever jewelry they want but just tell them it should be all silver tone… or whatever 🙂 as far as shoes i think nude would look nice 🙂

I’m doing something similiar with green: mint green, emerald green, etc. I decided that they should all wear rose/soft pink (my other color) shoes with rose/soft pink earrings. They won’t be the same style, just color. I decided against necklaces (as of right now, unless a Bridesmaid or Best Man finds something cool) because the necklines aren’t all the same.

I’m in the same boat with mismatched brown dresses. the neckline make it impossible to wear matching necklaces. You might want to do dramatic matching earrings or bracelets. I’m giving them matching clutches, which help tie it all together.
Not sure about shoes. Maybe silver sandals?
