I’m the MOH in my sister’s wedding on the 25th of July, and recently found out that BM A is refusing to come to the wedding, which is obviously very hurtful for my sister to hear. Plus BM A isn’t just a recent friend, it’s our double cousin, and she and my sister are only one year apart and were attached at the hip growing up. Because we are double cousins we have the same grandparents on both sides so we saw their family at every holiday, every family get together, etc. We nicknamed the two of them "Joe and Moe" and my little sister copied everything everything BM A did growing up. Same hair. Same clothes. Same activities.
Recently BM A has been doing some very disappointing things, doing them back home and embarassing our family (particularly the grandparents). Her parents called her out on it, told her to leave Central WA and head back down to her sorority in Utah and she threw a fit and I guess now she is going to get back at them by not coming up to Washington for my sister’s wedding. She sent my sister a text that said "I’m not coming to your wedding anymore, sorry."
This all happened very recently so it all might blow over, but if it doesn’t what do you think I should do? Should I just let her hurt my sister like this? Should I call her up and call her out and tell her to stop being selfish and come?
