I have 6 bridesmaids. The intention was for them to get different styles of dress but in the same shade. However, all of them ended up liking the same dress style. The girls went out and bought the same style of shoes too. My dilemma is that, one of the girls changed her mind about the shoes and wants to wear a different kind. She would be the only one different. I do not want to be a control freak so I’m trying to compromise with her…I told her she could wear the shoe style she wants for the ceremony and reception and just wear the same shoes as everyone else solely for official wedding photos. Is this a reasonable request on my part?

I think it’s a reasonable request. The other option is that you let the other girls wear whatever shoes they want to as well.
I had a similar thing happen. I was going to have my girls all wear different dresses in the same color and length but they literally all preferred one. After that, I decided the shoes should be different, and told them they can wear shoes of whatever height or style as long as they are the same color.

Absolutely reasonable, although I would have her in the same shoes for the ceremony also. She can change following pics.

I prefer the look of matching BM shoes (when they are wearing short dresses so they are visible). I don’t think it is asking too much to request this, especially since she will particularly stand out if she is the only one who doesn’t match.
Also, I would have her match for the ceremony as she will be in a lot of those pictures.

The thing is, everyone already bought the same style. I do not want them to spend more money buying another pair. So now, I am not sure what to do

Totally not bridezilla! I agree with PP. Just ask her to wear the matching shoes for the ceremony and formal pictures, but in a way to show its not really up for discussion 😉 I don’t see why it would cause a problem.
