I have two older sisters that I had always seen as my bridesmaids whenever I got married. I have four nieces – ages 13, 11, 3,1..the oldest two are very, very anxious to be a bridesmaid. I kinda feel like they are between bridesmaids and flower girls. I planned on having my youngest two as flower girls. We are only planning for two bridesmaids and two groomsmen.

@autumnlynnhill: I think you have a couple options. You can make them Junior Bridesmaids (have them walk down solo and then sit during the ceremony). You can have them man the guest book table and gather signatures at the reception. You can have them hand out programs as guests enter the church. You can also make them regular bridesmaids. Or you can just not give them a role.

I had this issue I Nanny two little girls 9-7 and they where the flower girls for two other nannys before so they expected it this time – however I already had my girls set in mind the girls I grew up sitting 3-5-7 – Dh also has cousins 8-12 I’m very close with and who we wanted included so we had 3 flower girls and 8 jr bm – it was great they just sat during the ceremony – they got left out of alot of pictures cause of parents so make sure parents are on board 🙂
