Okay, this is a little tricky so I need your very wise advice. The colors for my wedding are burgundy, dark teal, and a pale gold. One of my bridesmaids will be wearing a tux and I am not sure if she should wear a vest and tie like the color of the bridesmaids outfits or if she should match the other groomsman. We do have a female grooms lady and she will be wearing the color that the bridesmaids are wearing? So, what do you think? Should she wear what the other grooms guys are or should she wear the color that the b-maids are wearing?

Also, should the groom wear the same color as the the grooms man or should they wear a different color all together?

I think the colors should go with the other colors. Have the groomslady wear the same thing as the bridesmaid and vice-versa.

Usually the groom is in a white/ivory vest while his side of the party is in the wedding colors. One of my BMs is a "Best Woman" in her friends wedding and she is wearing a black dress, so she matches more with the rest of the groom's side of the party.

I think the "bridesmaid" wearing a tux should have a vest and tie the same color as the women standing up on your side.

By having all the bride's attendants wear gold and the groom's attendants wear burgundy allow your guests to know who is standing up for whom. If you don't care about having that color seperation for the guests' sake, then by all means, put them in whatever color combos you want!

If you are having a hard time visualising this, the david's bridal website has a wedding party builder in which you can add people and change the colors of their outfits. Some of my BMs are getting dresses there (I'm going the non-matching route), but even still the tool is handy to visualize. Like I wanted to see what it would look like if not all my BMs got the same length dress (like 3 short and 2 long).

    Good luck with your decision!
