I became closer with my one good friend when I was in her wedding last year. She was a wonderfuly understanding, no-stress bride which made everything easy and fun.

I have drifted a little away from 2 of my BMs from my wedding. I don’t know why but it sucks. Everyone is so busy these days and none of us even have kids!!

I was just about to create a similar thread asking if anyone lost friendships because of weddings!

Grew farther apart from my Bridesmaid or Best Man friend because of the annoying things she did during my wedding. I’m normally a forgiving person but when it comes to my wedding, I seem to take a hardlined approach.

Grew closer to my two sister BMs.

I was very surpised to be asked to be a bridesmaid in my one friend’s wedding. She had always been more of a friend-of-a-friend. Her Maid/Matron of Honor was our mutual friend. We started spending more time together, and I would frequently invite her over for dinner. In the end, I really appeciated the experience with her. We’re definitely good friends.

I had 5 bridesmaids and they were all equally from hell. All of these relationships have changed for the worse. I was the first person to get married in my family/group of friends, and I definitely got the short end of the stick because of it. I was incredibly accommodating to all of my girls, but they acted like selfish a-holes my entire engagement. In retrospect, I wish I never had a bridal party, which is sad.
