My 3 girls are all different shapes and sizes.
My sister is a teenager, tall and very thin (US size 4). My other 2 are shorter and bigger (USA size 12-14).
I want my girls to look good together, but I also want them to feel great and comfortable in what their wearing.
I had initally wanted them to all wear shorter dresses in different colours that sit well together (like in shades of coral and orange for example) but now I’m wondering that if they are all so different, maybe that won’t work?
FI’s sister expressed a wish to wear a full length dress, which is perfectly fine as I want her to feel happy! Will 2 shorter dresses look OK next to a maxi?
I wanted to stay away from the ‘formal and matched’ look, but I guess that’s so commonly done so everyone looks their best?
I don’t know… any help, bees? Did anyone else have bridesmaids that were different sizes? How did you do it and keep everyone looking and feeling fabulous?

maybe a style that comes in short and long options:

I think it would be fine. Good for you for taking your bridesmaid’s comfort to heart!

hmm is your sister MOH? I would hesitate to put anyone BUT the special MOH in a dress of a different length only because it makes them stick out so much more… like they’re on another level… like the MOH should be. lol
I had girls sizes 4-22 and I put them in flowy full length gowns with empire waists so everyone was comfortable with the draping of the fabric:
I think it went best because it sort of evened out the playing field… no ones legs & etc were being compared or anything and the girls said they really felt comfortable in them.

My wedding was really informal/casual at a barn, so I didn’t want matchy formal dresses anyway. My BMs chose a floral dress that they liked. They ranged from 4’11” to 5’11”, size 0 to size 12 so I thought it would be better to have them pick something they knew they’d look good and feel comfortable in. I don’t think that the matchy formal necessarily makes everyone look their best, so you have a lot of options! My BMs, for reference:
