I like the idea. You may want to check with the bridesmaids to see if they were hoping to keep the bouquets for themselves, but I don’t see any reason why they’d object to the bouquets being put in water for a few hours!

I’m doing this at my wedding. I only have 3 bridesmaids so their bouquets will be the centerpieces for the “reserved” tables. My florist is putting out the pretty vases with fillers and some small candles so the table doesn’t look empty when the guests arrive. My bouquet will be the centerpiece for our sweetheart table.

My sister did this and it worked out beautifully, she had the vases waiting with candles around them, as the girls walked in they just placed thier bouquet at thier pre-determined table and got to take it home at the end of the night, vase and all. She had 6 bridesmaids and 12 or 13 tables though so the ones that did not have a bridesmaids bouquet had similar versions of them in white, whith slightly cheaper flowers, it looked very nice having the white with the little pops of colour arround the room.

I will be doing this but for the head table only. I have 5 bridesmaids and our head table will be one long strip (12 people total) so I’m buying glass vases and sticking them there (spaced out over the whole long table) during the reception. If they want to take them home after, they will know where to get them.

Also, I didn’t want tall centerpieces for the head table so this works out nicely.

That’s my plan- my bouquet will go on the head table, the girls’ on the parents’ tables (two bridesmaids). The bouquets should be in vases anyway to keep them fresh, and they can take their bouquets home in them.

Im planning on doing that too 🙂 For me, the thing is that i would want them the same style anyway. I have 3 BMs and 6 tables though… So I’m not sure whether to order duplicates of the Bridesmaid or Best Man bouquets, alternate them, or get them all different. Decisions, decisions.

I am using mine for head table decorations 🙂
