Ok bees, I need your opinion!
I am getting married July 19th, and am starting to look for bridesmaids dresses. First of all, do you think I am too early in my quest?
Now, I want the dress color to be sky blue, and that is proving to be quite the challenge to find since I am on a limited budget and mint is such a popular color right now. Well I found a dress that I really like on amazon, and it is $45. I think it is simple and will look good on everyone, but I feel so bad asking them to buy a dress that I don’t know if they would like or wear again. Plus they can’t try it on, you can custom order sizes though and it is a lace up back so that should prevent them from paying alterations. The girls will each be paying for their own dresses.
Here is the dress:
My other idea was to have them each pick their own dress in my color, but after doing some shopping I just haven’t seen my color anywhere so I am afraid that they won’t be able to find it and I will end up with a bunch of different colors.
So….. I am hoping to get your opinion on the dress, the price, the timing of my shopping, just any opinion you have I am open to hearing! Thank you, I love that I can some of these questions to honest people when I fear I am stressing for no reason! Thanks Bees!

I already have my bridesmaid dresses and ordered them 3 months ago. I think you are cutting it a little close with timing but I think the dress is cute and for $45 you can’t go wrong. My girls paid $145.

I think if you’re ‘picky’ about the colour, you should tell them ‘this is the designer, this is the fabric – pick a style’ at the very least. My girls weren’t able to try their dresses either and they cost quite a bit more than yours, we’re just hoping for the best. They should be here any day.

Will everyone look good in strapless? I would HATE to be stuck in a strapless dress. And I am a size 6. Do you have any plus-sized bridesmaids? That would definitely not be a flattering look for a plus sized girl…..

I’d make sure they are all ok with strapless, it’s not flattering or comfortable for everyone, and also get a waist-to hem measurement and make sure it’s long enough. That skirt looks like it would be too short on me.
David’s Bridal color Capri is a pretty sky blue, with more options.

saraking: I think you have done an amazing job finding a dress in your color and at your price point. There are not many Bees who have found such a reasonably priced bridesmaid dress.
There will be concerns about stapless dresses for some figures. This dress is so resonably priced that I would order an extra dress so the fabric could be used to make straps or even cap sleeves for those who wanted them.
I agree with the pp’s to check the length.

I think it’s beautiful and my moh is a plus size and she choose a strapless dress it looks great on her. Also my sister’s/ bridesmaids are both a size two and it looked great on them also. That is a great price I say go for it.
