We are getting married in July of 2012. What is the nomral timeframe that my girls should have thier dresses ordered by?

@muzikfreek13: If you aren't buying off the rack, most stores say it takes about 4 months for the dresses to come in, then they need to be altered...maybe 5-6 months before your wedding? My girls ordered their dresses in September and they are due in any day now, so they still have some time.

@muzikfreek13: My wedding is in late August 2012, so my girls and I have a date to try on their dresses in February (with hopes that they'll purchase at this time) and for those that need longer I've asked they buy before the end of April to give four months for delivery delays/alterations/etc. So perhaps March as your deadline?

@Stammie16: DB actually told me that dresses we ordered last Saturday will be in no later than March 5 (we ordered from their Danbury, CT store). This will be perfect timing for them to arrange for alterations if they need them for our 6-30 wedding. If you run into an issue where you won't get the dress for months and months, I suggest looking into DB or Alfred Angelo dress stores (or stores that sell their dresses) because there are some dresses that can be rush ordered. GL!
