My girls wore tea length for an afternoon wedding…and in turn they’ve been able to wear their dresses again to other functions! I am in an evening wedding in Nov. and we have floor length gowns. Its just your descion 🙂 What do your girls think?

@LGenz: Agreed. I love short BM dresses that look more like a nice cocktail dress and don’t scream, “BRIDESMAID!” I feel like the majority of long dresses I’ve seen tend to look very bridesmaidy to me. I’m also just not a fan of the huge block of satin in one color look, which so many BM dresses fall into these days.

Ask your bridesmaid what they perfer, but for april you can go either way… Short dresses are usually cheaper too 🙂 Good Luck

When I was planning I loved short/hated long. I went with short.

In the end I really didn’t like the dresses I picked for my girls. Short dresses = seeing everyone’s knees. In the end I don’t think they looked as nice as they could of.

Go for tea length or long.

I’m doing long.  We’re having a super formal wedding, so long was kind of necessary.  Also: short dress + January = bridesmaidsicles.

I always wanted long. I love the elegance and it makes them stand apart from other guest and feel special IMO. However, I went with short as I am now having a DW and long satin dresses would be an eyesore on the beach. I am super happy with my choice now and I think its better for the BM’s overall because then they can wear them again.
