Ive seen a lot of posts over brides difficulties in finding yellow bridesmaids dresses. I am having the same problem (mostly). The ones I have found have been at different price points that my bridesmaids wanted, in different shades they wanted, and with two custom dress sources in case they wanted the dresses altered at source rather than after purchase. I did this and presented a list to the bridesmaids (three from one end of the USA to the other, 1 in the UK and 1 in France) and EVERY single one they have disagreed on in different ways. I have told them that if they don’t like these than they can choose a grey dress of their own liking at their own local shops at their own discrestion. The responses have been negative to this idea. I am being told to be patient with them in finding yellows they like. But, its been a month back and forth with yellows and they have yet to agree on anything. I wouldn’t mind waiting on their dresses but half of them are becoming impatient about getting a dress in time.
How am I supposed to direct them in finding a dress when they all disagree no matter what I suggest or what any of the other bridesmaids suggest?
I am at the point of telling them to show up naked because i truly don’t care what they wear — the only reason I gathered dress ideas together with their suggestions was to narrow their ideas into a presentable format. I feel like I am bending over backwards to be helpful and giving them full rights over what they wear to my wedding and all I have gotten in return is negativity and gripes over how long this is taking — until I make a decision that is over a dress that they dont like, then the tune is “be patient, we will find one soon”.
It only took me 1 hour and 1 dress shop to find my wedding dress. Coordinating bridesmaids is a nightmare.
What can I do about them?

@yellowballoon: Have you looked at BM dresses on-line and then looked at stockists

This is very strange that they’re arguing with you. Can’t you just pick a dress for them and that’s the end of it? I told my bridemaids the colors, and had them choose a dress to flatter their figures. They all got something very cute that they’ll each wear again. I don’t see why your BMs are giving you attitude about this. I think it’s very nice of you to be so flexible, but you may want to choose 3-4 dresses and say “Okay, choose from these.” Let that be the end of it– you’ll have bigger fish to fry as you plan the wedding!

I have looked at BM dresses online and they have too. I have made sheets of links with examples at different price points. After all the negativity I told them we could move from yellow to grey if that was their desire but this has not changed the situation one bit.

Have you considered the two birds bridesmaid dresses? They are a little bit more expensive but they are essentially a one size fits all bridesmaid dress that can be tied in several different ways. It eliminates the need and timeline crunches associated with fittingsand alterations, and your maids would be able to wear the dresses in whatever way that was most flattering to them – it’s hard to disagree on that! I wore one of these to a wedding last year and we all loved them. We all had very different body types but we all looked lovely (if I do say so myself!). I took a look on their sight and they have a colour called butter yellow that looks like a nice flattering shade.

I say, if it gets too hectic, you pick the shade YOU want(grey, yellow, wth ever), pick a designer, and tell them to pick a dress of their choosing…
I picked shantung dresses in the target BM line, and told them to have at it. They get to choose black or grey(they can be mismatched), as our flowers are red and white.
I’m still catching slack from one of them, even though target carries all sizes. But, hopefully, it’ll all come together!!!

I’m having yellow and found my dresses with coralie beatrix on etsy – they’re a deep strong yellow – here’s a pic of some of the dresses with the yellow in the middle:
