I am trying to decide what to give my bridesmaids… do you think it would be better to do something physical like a Coach wristlet, or something fun and relaxing like a massage in their hometown for after the wedding?
ETA: I think I will also be buying their jewelry for the wedding.

@loving_life: I actually bought my girls Coach wristlets. (I got them earrings and a hair pin also, but that’s for the wedding, so it doesn’t really count). I also got Maid/Matron of Honor a coach purse that is the same pattern as the wristlets….. so I voted wristlets, BUT I would looooove a massage also! But if you go the massage route, just make sure they all like them – I have one bridesmaid who is really particular and does not like massages, manis/pedis – crazy, but true!

@loving_life: I would go with the massage, or maybe jewelry. I haven’t used a wristlet in a few years… but this could just be me!! If you know your friends will like it – then you’re good! 🙂

Oh, I would LOVE to get a coach wrislet as a gift! I love them. But you know your friends the best – do they like coach? Would they use a wristlet?

I think they would like both, that’s the problem! 🙂

Maybe give them a choice? Make a card that gives them the option? Or get them the thing they wouldn’t get themselves?

@Americano: Or get them the thing they wouldn’t get themselves
I would have to agree with this 🙂

Personally, I’d go with the wristlet. They can always use it as a wallet if they don’t use wristlets and it’s something that will make them happy for an extended amount of time rather than temporarily, like a massage.
or, maybe you could get a discount for booking more than one massage through a chain company or finding local massage schools (they give HUGE discounts) and finding a Coach pattern with wristlets on sale so you could afford both 🙂 Or you could scale back the massage and go with a pedicure.
🙂 Hope you find a good option!

Just wanted to say….. my wedding was last weekend and I gave my girls wristlets at the rehearsal dinner (and my Maid/Matron of Honor got a purse) and they all really loved them. I do also enjoy a massage, but like the previous poster said, it’s nice to have something tangible that they can use for themselves after the wedding. 🙂

agree with – @Americano: get them something they wouldn’t get themselves.
Personally, I am not a Coach fan at all so I wouldn’t use the wristlet, but in general I wouldn’t use it anyway even if it wasn’t Coach.
But if they are fans of Coach and you know they would use it, then get them!
It just boils down to you knowing which they would prefer better.

I think it is important to get each bridesmaid something personal to say thank you. Something that really represents your closeness togeather.
